Unit 3 How we organize ourself

Hi world, I will talk about my unit that we are starting and doing. In this unit, we discuss about human right and also social justice. Human rights are right that each human should have like our shelter, food, clothing and other daily need are provided because we were provided by our family generation but what about the street childerns? how about the peoples who lives on the slumps? They were born poor and had to fight for their lives and so organizations like KDM and also YCAB help these people and tried to rebuild their lives. Social justice also refers to human right but social justice is refering to the structure of the country and that without social justice, the country's justice system would not be organized and every thing would go wron. In this unit, our task was to build an organization and my groups organization is called International Alliance.Our organization helps in preventing child soldier to happen and we design our own vision and mission. At first it was hard but we manage to do it in a short time. In this unit I also design my own 3 lines of inquiry which is a question that I would answer by the end of this unit and here are my 3 lines of inquiry

1. Why is it important for a country to have social justice
2. How can they prevent the increase of human right issues
3. What would happen if there are no organizations that help people on the slum areas

Do Hard Things Reflection Chapter 1 & Chapter 2

Do Hard Things Reflection Chapter 1
The positive about the felling that I had when I read chapter one is that it starting to persuade me to do hard things that like the book author was talking about. Another positive felling that I have is that it wants me to visit the website that they made because by reading the comments that some people already commented, it make me to look into their website and read the information that they had. The felling that I had for the author is that they take risk that even teenagers would not dare and so I think that I can do it also some day. The negative felling that I had when I was reading this chapter is that I was thinking that I haven’t have the courage to stand out of my comfort zone so one day I would try to do like the author does. Another negative felling is that I have is that the book was telling the truth which is teenager never get out of their comfort zone so I want to rebel it someday and try to do an impact. There is another negative felling which is that I never that very successful on doing works other than school work and even that there was still trouble on the school work and by reading the book the title better than success gives me an inspiration that even though I fail some works that is outside of school work I still can improve in the future. What I like about this chapter is that it tells the beginning of the story and also the progress of the author and how they were success on making the blog which gives me a thought saying “ can someday I do that?” and by asking myself I think I know the answer which is yes. Another thing that they like is that they started their own campaign and mostly, teenager is participated and through their blog many teenagers were inspired so I was thinking of a way so that I can someday start a blog where I do another problem that teens face and maybe someday I can do it. The thing that I like about this chapter is that through their hardship they can accomplish something like for example from 2,200 viewer and jumped to 12,800 and for me is like that is surprising how God use these teenager to do something extraordinary and it is interesting for me. Another thing that is interesting is that how God use them from a normal-studying teenager to be rebels against low expectation and for me I would never do that but God gave them the will and courage to do it. What I don’t like about this chapter is the last sentence which is “in the upcoming chapter, we will show you how” because they could change the sentence to be more interesting which make teenagers encouraged when reading the next chapter. Another thing that I don’t like is that in page 4 it says the book was challenging and in my opinion, what part of it is challenging? The understanding or the reading? So I think that they can just change that small starting phrase and make it better for other peoples.

Do Hard Things Chapter 2 Reflection

The positive felling about this chapter is that in this chapter, it tells about the beginning of the rebelution website so it was interesting for me to read. Another positive felling that they can come up with a new- interesting word and for me it seems interesting. The main positive that I found about this chapter is how they wake up one day and just came up with this idea and I was thinking it was God’s will or their interesting part of the conscience speaking. The negative felling in this chapter is that I feel sad for the boys and I cannot imagine what happen when my parent gave a stack of book to read and if I was given a pile of book like that I would be either fainted or receive the book and don’t read it. Another negative thing (in my opinion) is the name of the blog, rebelution because they can came up with longer and more creative name. Also in page 10 it says that when It was break, God closed the door and they didn’t follow the direction and if it was me I would directly try to pray to God asking for and assignment or just praise Him because that was another assignment that God gave us.
What I like about this chapter that I can apply is that when I have children I would gave them many books to read to make them smarter and also so that it becomes a habit. The thing I dislike is that if they know that God doesn’t gave those children assignment, why didn’t they do other outside of school without their parents telling them. Another I like about this chapter is how they started the blog for doing something than doing nothing because it gives me an inspiration because if I had nothing to do, I would play games or just being lazy. What I also like is how they tell the beginning of rebelution in this chapter and how they were able to tell the personal side of the rebelution. The Myth of Adolscence was one of the first article that grabs teen attention and for me it also grab my attention. Another thing that I like the best is how the New York Daily News put their blog and for me if it was my company it would be an honor and by looking their hard work it made me fell good and it made me feel that God can use me someday.

Grade 6 Retreat

At Wednesdat, we went to Lembah Hijau in our spritual retreat and that we stayed there for three days and then we came back. We do many things through out the retreat, we had many fun activities such as hiking and also doing the sport activities. For me I like doing the hiking but I don't really like swimming in the first day because, when you go in to the pool, it is so cold that I could fell my body starting to froze. But I also like doing the fishing but too bad that I didn't caught any fish. We also do the talent show and I do a drama about "how to be polite to you teacher" and it was fun but for me, the suprising moment is seeing my teacher, Mr.P dance because it was the first time for me to see my teacher dancing. We also had the Bonfire ( is not the real fire due to the rain and we had to use a look-like bonfire) and during that time, we had to write the bad things that influence our life and after that, the teacher burn it in a real fire

During this reatreat, I also learnt many things through out this retreat especially the messages that Mr.Rob told us about hope. Hope turns out to have diffrent meaning in each letter like for "H" it stands for help, "O" stands for Obey and other letters had other meanings. I learnt that we had to obey and do what God said in the bible rather reading but not obeying it and that I also leant that God uses people that is not always be perfect but those people follow his ways. I also learnt that we should use our talents to worship God like for example Eric Lidell who worship God by running for God and also do other sports because he enjoyed sport.

During this retreat, I also influenced people like Josan, William and also Vincent and I influence them by talking to them but also play card with some of them like Josan and William and for me, it was great to influence with these people in a positive way.

Week 2, Unit 2 Reflection

I felt releaved at the end of this week for the fact that we had been working hard on our movie makers. What is the movie makers? Well I will tell you what is our movie maker, the movie maker is a project that we had to do based upon energy and that is renewable and non renewable energy. The project was to make a movie and play it on Friday (well some have to do it on Monday like me but those from 6B who already show the movie during Friday don't fell ofended). After some of the students show their movies, I realized that mine was not so good so during this week end, I will make sure that my movie maker is better (I think is bad not because it is bad okay).

UOI Reflection

During the past six weeks, we have been doing many different activities like brainstorming the influences in our life. At first we only brainstorm by our self then we organize it into four separate tables that organize which influence should go in there. Not only we discussed our influences but we also watch “Bill Nye the science guy” about Cells during our class time. Not only we watch Bill Nye the science guy but we also do the “Why am I like my relative?” worksheet that has to be done based on our knowledge that we learn about the human body in the past few weeks. We did a web quest to search about cells from the animal cell and the plant cells. Then after a while we also have to make edible cell representation to represent the animal or the plant cell. I took the animal cell and there were pretty easy to make but I wasted many edible materials especially rice.

In those past six weeks, I also learnt many new things about myself and about God. The things I learnt about myself are that my body is made of billions of cells and each of the cells has many different purposes to keep my body alive. Each Cell has a nucleus which keeps the information about my genes and about my DNA. Not only learning about my body made of cells surprised me but I was also formed from an egg that is from my mom. At first, I thought that the mom can get pregnant without doing anything and after a while, I realized that the egg must combine with the sperm before it changes into and embryo. Not only I learnt about that but human, animal, plant cells are all different and that each one has unique organelle that is required to keep them alive. For example, if a plants Vacuole which is and organelle that keeps the water storage ran out of water, the plant would wilt and apparently dies. Human, Animal, Plant cells had different organelles because of these organelle was put into wrong cells it could be wrong for example, if a animal cell had a vacuole, the animal must keeps on drinking and if the vacuole tank is dried maybe the animal would die. The things I learnt about God is that he made us wonderfully with His own hands and that God made the human in his own image. Not only I learnt about that but each and every human is different and even though twins looks the same, both of them still different. If the world have the same face, same talent and same thinking the world would be boring. People think that when they were born disabled that God had mistake during the creation but they were wrong, God made us so that we would be perfect and even though some people were disabled they still can do the purposes that God wanted them to do.

I enjoyed many things throughout the last six weeks and I will tell you what I enjoyed. I enjoyed learning new information because information makes me learn new knowledge and that the knowledge can make me learn new and interesting things. Throughout the past six weeks I learnt about why our body change does and how do it grow and that I realize that each year we grow taller and bigger and that our face also changes as times goes by. We cannot fell the transformation of our body as we grown older, but no matter you like it or not your body as times goes by. Not only I had enjoyed learning new informations but I also enjoyed listening and looking at interesting facts. One of the things that was interesting for me is our cells, our cell are different than any other animal and plant cell but even though our cells looks the same, the DNA information is different. Each DNA is different because it was passed down from your family generation and that the DNA had 8 trillion combinations just to make you yourself. Not only I learnt that each cells have different DNA but I also learnt new facts about sperms, sperms only reason to live is to form you and that I learnt that when it goes into your moms Vagina, the sperm would race each other to get into the egg and if a sperm already gone into the egg, the rest of the sperms would die.
Not only I learnt and enjoy many new things but there were some challenging parts that I had to face. At first, when I had a problem I would be confused but even though I got confused I still have to do my work so I came up with a strategy. If I got confused, the first thing that I do is that I try to work the homework first and if I can’t do it I first try to call my friend. If the friend also confused what to do, I would search the internet and find the definition or at least try remembering the things Mr.P told us. If I’m out of option then I would e-mail to Mr.P and ask him what to do. For the next unit, I want to improve some of the things that I did wrong such as time management skill and listening skill. For time management skill, I want to improve organizing my time because some time I thought that the work is still due in a long time and sometime when the project was nearly due, I would work on it and it becomes a late minute work which is bad for me. I would also try to make game plans and make sure that I make my own deadline and make sure that I also hand in the work on time so that I would prevent last minute works. I also have to make sure that I have to hand in work on time so that I don’t disappoint the teacher and that so that I had good marks. Not only have I had to improve on my time management skill but also my listening skills. For listening skill, sometime I didn’t pay attention and got confused on doing the project and it could make me hard to make the project. So I want to make sure by the next unit so that I would understand the task clearly so that I can do the project. Not only listening well needs to be improved but listening to instruction clearly is important, if I know what to do for the project but don’t know how to write the format of the project, it would be difficult for me to do it so by the next unit I want to make sure that I have to listen to instruction clearly so that I won’t make huge mistakes like my oral presentation for a example.

Many times we should be strong in one IB profile and PYP attitudes and every people had the same one but I would tell you what I’m strong at. At the PYP attitudes, I am strong in Independence and Appreciation because there were the two attitudes that I have been working on so far. Independence make sure that I could do it alone and that I understand the project well. For appreciation, it makes sure that I appreciates other peoples work and also my own work by pledging that the work was good. For my IB profile, I was strong at Thinkers and knowledgeable and I will tell you the reason why. One of my profile which is thinkers was strong is that because I like to think a lot and it sound strange but I like to think about new ideas on how to improve my work or how to do my work. I was also strong at knowledgeable because if I know I have to do some works, I should be knowledgeable on what I’m doing because I would know what to write and that what I wrote should be appropriate for my task. I will make sure that I would improve some of my mistakes and learn new attitudes and profile as times goes by in grade six.

The Remembering

One day, there was a boy named John. John had been suffering a heart disease for ten years and eventhough he suffered the heart disease, he still go to school and learn more so that he could reach his dream as an abassador.

During his school independence day, his heart disease got worse and worse and when he was about to muster, he got a heart attack and died. After seing John died, Mark his best fiend was lament seing John and after a while he start remembering things about John. John was boy who was energetic and hoping to learn many new material at school so that he could be a ambassador. Even though many homework and projects and other hardships that the student had to face, John did it well and suceeded doing it. After few years of learning, John had many perseverance almost through out the subjects and because of his perseverance, the school principal told him to join a drama and played as the main character. The name of the drama was "what kind of geographical place is this!" and the drama tells a story about a boy who went to diffrent places in the world and confused which each cities.

Then after that drama, his condition got worse until he got the heart attack and died. After a few days later, Mark attended the burial and after a while he looked at the tombstone and said, " Through out this time I was glad that you became my friend eventhough you didn't tell me that you had a hard disease" and after saying it Mark walked away.

Edible Cell

At school, we were given a task to make a edible animal cell or plant cells. I picked animal cell and I will tell you what are the things that you see in the picture and I will tell you what each things represent.The big egg yolk is representing what is called the nucleus. The nucleus contains genetic information about us and the place where they replicate DNA.The rice that you see on bellow each foods is the cell membrane that keeps the cell in one place and it is the entry and the exit of the nutrients. The egg white that you see represent the peroxisome, persoxisome are organelle that are made from nutrients and oxygen and peroxisome uses oxygen to generate water. The chicken nugget that you see on the top of the yolk represents the golgi aparatus. Golgi aparatus is an organelle that responsible for the waste of the waste product that are found in the cell. the noodles that are near the yolks are represent the mitochondria, the mitochondria is responsible for the cell energy metabolism. The brown smooth thing that you see like a poridge is a food called regal, regal are biscuits that when you add water too it it can bee smooth and if you are wondering what does the hard biscuit look like please look to the right of the yolk. That is the first stage of the biscuit before it was add by water and was mashed. The regals represents the endoplasmic recticulum, the smooth endoplasmic recticulum ( which is the regal that looks like a poridge) is a organelle that transport liquid and and nutrient to the cell. The rough endoplasmic recticulum ( the biscuit regal) is an organelle that has a large amount ribsomes in its surface and the rough endoplasmic recticulum transport proteins through out the cell. So, what you see on the picture and the descriptions of each part of the cell represents the animal cell so thankyou for reading.

Oral Presentation

Hello world and I will tell you how influences affected my life.Through out time, there are things that have influenced our life. Many are minor impacts some are major. Have you experienced a minor impact that has happened in your life? Well more minor influences are experienced rather than the major ones. Everybody would have experienced an impact. Well today I would tell you three influences that impact my life. God, television and music has been and influence that change my life.

God has been my influence throughout my life. God has been a positive influence to me by telling me to do positive actions and sometime if I have a problem, I like to pray to God for solution in my heart. God influences me in many different ways, one of the ways is through my thoughts. God makes sure that even though sometimes the person beside me could be annoying like a storm of questions in a sunny day, God tells me to stay calm and try to ignore that person. Thoughts are a part of what God influence me but actions is also another influence. God tells me if I’m about to do an action if it could affect other people in a positive way and if I think the action is negative I would think my action out again. If I think of a positive way, I would stick with it but a negative thought came out I usually I think of a new positive solution. We rely on God to guide us to the right track every time but, sometime if you rely too much, it could change from positive influence to negative influence because if you rely on God all the time you started to be lazy. And as time goes by, I think the best solution is try to do the work yourself first then if you can’t do it then start to rely on God.
On the other hand, television has been influencing me in a negative way and I will tell you why is television has been a negative impact. Television is a negative influence to me by making me watch all day which cause me to forget to do my homework. Television has influence me in a negative way one of the way is that once I turn on the television and watch it, sometime it made me to watch all day.Television addicts me to watch all the time so the longer I watch the less time I have for my homework. When I had less time I have for my homework sometime I could feel I want to rush it. Not only watching all day influence me making me forget to do my homework is another negative influence. Television sometime make me forget everything like if you have a school project, once you bring it home and watch television you will just forget instantly about your homework and the next day you don’t have it handed in. If you still have a habit to watch television too long, I recommend that you try to remember to do your homework or at least prioritize your homework. Well now I will tell you how does music influence my life.

Music has been a positive influence on me and I will tell you why. Music has a positive impact to me because depending on what I hear it could make me relaxed or energetic. Music has influence me in a positive way. One of the ways is that listening to music that is calm make me relaxed during tough situations. Listening to music that is slow but good music usually make me feel relaxed but sometime if I listen to calm music for too long, it made me focus on doing my homework. Listening to music not only it make me relaxed; usually my brother plays music at night before we sleep. Playing music at night when we are about to sleep used to make me go to sleep easier, sometime music could drive me crazy because of the volume. Not only so, music can be positive influence. In fact, sometime it could be a negative influence because depending on what music you hear, if it sometime has foul language in it, I don’t think it’s good for you and especially the volume of the music. If you set it so loud it could hurt your ear and it could make you half deaf.

There are many influences that I expereience through out my life but God, Television and Music influence me the most. Everybody has a influence in their life that are positive and negative and if you want to be positive you would try to take the hardship to try to prevent the negative influence from happening. Now I would tell you that you don’t depend only at your influence all the time but influences can be changed and it can be a habit. Try to understand that not only influences affect your life right now it will also affect your future well if you want to see a good future try to have a good influence all the time.

English Reading Log Summary: Eragon week 5

Eragon was left alone in his room and when he woke up there was a note. The note says that Brom will come late and that there are some money for Eragon to but food but Eragon has to stay unnoticed. At first, Eragon was elated that he could explore the city so after reading the note, Eragon clean his room then grab the coin that Brom gave him. After that, Eragon went to the streets and tried to find an intresting things to do on the street but he find none. Then he became hungry and brought a bread and some cheese. Then he went to an auction and there the auctioner brought the first item which is a boy slave. Then the auctioneer tells about the boy and the crowd laughed. At first Eragon was angry like a sea raging and ready to crash to a city because of seeing the slave that was about to be sold. But eventhough he was filled with anger and ready to use magic at the auctioneer, he calms himself as though a wind blew all his anger.

Library Biography project: Vincent Van Gogh

during the past few weeks, we were given an assiment to read about a biography about famous artist and I will share to you a little bit what I know about Vincent Van Gogh. Vincent Van Gogh born in March 30 1853 and the name came from his older brother name Wilhem Vincent Van Gogh which passed away after birth.Vincent had a younger brother named Theo Van Gogh and also a sister. During that time, Vincent was a hard working boy and when he had a free time, he would collect bird nest and insects and sometime Vincent like to play around with his little sister. Usually when Vincent passed the church and saw his older brother's Vincent tombstone and usually when Vincent saw the tombstone he felt as he was dead. In the old times, Vincent went to Arles and lived there for college. In that time, Vincent had a roomate and stayed in the same room. One day because Vincent had a fight with his roomate, his roomate moved away from the apartment and after a few days later, he cut his own ear as a oath and after a few days later he drew a painting of himself. Vincent Van Gogh made many paintings and many of his painting got famous. One of the painting was 'The Starry Night' and there are many other painting such as 'Vase with sunflower and 'Road with Cypress and Stars' are also his famous paintings. In that time people was not intrested at his paintings. His last painting was 'Wheatfield with Crows' that express his emotions and after that last painting, Vincent end his life by tragedy which he commited suicide. Vincent Van Gogh made me relieze that even though there are things that made you fell as you have failed you cannot give up until you achive something. But even though vincent gave up too soon, you don't have to follow what Vincent do but once you achive something keep doing it until you achive more. For me, it gave me an inspiration that even though there are hardships I have to face, I still have to go through it and achive the hope.

About my unit of inquiry (U.O.I)

For the past few weeks, we had been studying a unit called "Who We Are". Who we are is a unit that talks about what influences your life and how you grow through out the times. Influences started since the day you were young, as time goes by you experienced many minor and major impacts in your life. In class we had been brainstroming and organizing the influences that happened in our life either that influence you negatively or posivetively. Then, after a few while latter, we think individualy and try to organize the 10 positive and 10 negative that impact your life the most. Not only we discussing the the influences that impacted our life is important discussing about our school theme connects to our UOI. Our theme "through hardship to hope" tells that we can change but if we wanted to change, there are some stages you go through before you change and those stages are from hardship which you strugle to change then from hardship you go to the next stage called perseverance and in that stage you are still changing and after perseverance to character which you are to reach the goal and after character to hope which you have changed. You usually would not see the stages physically but you will see these influence by spiritually
